Luncheon Anybody ?
Jean Jones has arranged for us to go to Lions Gate on September 16th
at 12: 00 noon. If you can come please call Jean Jones @ 488-4157 or
Maurine Rollins @ 489-2686 by September 12th. We hope to get
acquainted with the new people in town.

IT’S DUES
TIME AGAIN ! Dues are $20.00 per year. Any money given above the
amount of dues goes to philanthropy and it is deductible.
Last year we gave $300 and this year we gave $500 to CCHAT - Children’s
Choice for Hearing and Talking Center. If you just want the newsletter

NOVEMBER
On
Thursday, November 16th at 7:30 pm we will meet at Maurine Rollins’ home.
Light refreshments will be served before Janet Grant speaks to us about
Christmas Promise. Marge Brownell has suggested that we bring new
unwrapped presents to this meeting. They can be anything from toys, books
or clothing for children or adults. Marge said she will deliver them to

Chair ~ “I would also like to welcome Betty Suttle Loftus as or new GWA
Team Development Chair. She is a Theta and ready, willing and able to do
the job. She will be contacting you. We hope that after convention her
responsibilities will be defined more clearly and we will
discuss them with you at that time. We are lucky to have her on our
team!”
National
Council of Delta Zeta has announced the appointment of Sandra Shaddix Hall
as the new Regional Collegiate Coordinator for Region X .
Sacramento
Alumnae Panhellenic Update ~
Chapter
delegates will meet periodically this year to continue support for
scholarships. Last Spring five scholarships of $200 each were presented
to sorority members at CSUS and UC Davis at their Campuses instead of
during a brunch. Their goal is to double the number of applications and to
increase the amount of each scholarships. A tentative date of March 2007
is planned for the Panhellenic Brunch. On Sunday, Nov. 5th,
2:30pm at Casa Garden Restaurant, a Bunco Day will be held with food and
festivities. Tickets ($10) and information maybe obtained from Jennie
Teel (730-3140).

Last
May in conjunction with the Agency for Hearing a Gala called Hearing
Aid was held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel. Nicole said she had a
table purchased by a donor but not filled and so Lois Adamek, Jean
and Al Jones, Penny and Ken Zacher, Merle and Haile Jaekel and their
daughter Kris, plus two widows of Pearl Harbor Survivors attended a
$100 plate Banquet as guests.

We have
planned two Saturday Events and also one in the evening. We hope we will
see some new (or old) faces.

We will have
no meetings or activities in December or January.
