San Francisco Bay

Spanning over nine counties, about 7.4 million people call the San Francisco Bay Area home. This area is known for the gorgeous views, historical landmarks, political demonstrations, technology growth, and cultural diversity. With all the San Francisco Bay has to offer, it makes sense why there are currently over one thousand DZ alumnae living in the area!

The San Francisco Bay Area Alumnae Chapter works closely with the Xi Lambda college chapter at the University of San Francisco. Each year, we support their annual philantrophic events- Ali's Way and Teeter-Totter-A-Thon. Ali's Way is a dinner, normally held in November, with featured speakers to raise awareness of Luekemia and other blood cancers. All funds go to the Luekemia and Lumpomia Society. Teeter-Totter-A-Thon is an event in April where the chapter as a whole is committed to keep the teeter-totter going for 48 hours straight. The chapter members sign up for shifts and there are many activities, including an Alumnae Dessert, throughout the event. Funding from donations and raffle ticket sales go to the Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California.
